Re: Casinos in Orlando, FL, New Orleans, LA, San Fransisco, CA and Veg
The Harrah's New Orleans 3-6 game is way beatable despite the big rake. The next level is 6-12, also very beatable but the swings sting if you don't have the bankroll (as I've come to learn).
Also, there's a cocktail girl from London, I believe, who I'm sure you'd like to meet. |

Re: Casinos in Orlando, FL, New Orleans, LA, San Fransisco, CA and Vegas?

BTW, you'll either love or hate the blind structure in the rooms in the Bay Area where the button posts a BB. Makes for a loose and somewhat profitable game sometimes. [/ QUOTE ] This is out of date, at least at Bay101 and Garden City. In recent months, both have switched from a button drop to a traditional rake (up to $4 depending on the number of players). |

I have played poker in Florida but not the Orlando area. I think your best bet is to go out on a boat, there is at least one that leaves from Port Canaveral right near where Nasa Launches the Space Shuttle. Land based casinos poker bets are limited to $2 maximum but they run tourneys that have higher limits. I played at the Hard Rock Seminole at Tampa but that is a bit of a drive. [/ QUOTE ] Port Canaveral and the Hard Rock are about the same distance from Universal - about 90 minutes, depending on traffic. Both are at least a $100 cab ride. There is a dog track in Daytona, near the racetrack, that deals poker noon to midnight. |
