Default Re: Anyone else think AK is overrated?

Overrated? Maybe.

Misplayed. Often.

AK, (suited or not), seems to be one of the most often misplayed hands that I see. It's one of those hands that can become a Monster with the right flop but can also be very hard to get away from when the flop doesn't hit.

I think that NL games allow us play our AK very aggressively and avoid getting beaten by draws, small/middle pairs, etc. since we can use a wager to protect the hand but it can really be a killer in a Limit game or tourney since it's much harder to move someone off of a hand, especially at the smaller stakes levels.
