Default Correct bubble play?

I was playing in a pokerschoolonline 51 person tournament and 6 got paid. With 7 people left here was where I stood:

Seat 1 : RIVERC starts with 12,100
Seat 2 : Hero starts with 25,200
Seat 4 : __1stBroker starts with 26,000
Seat 7 : PDT21 starts with 12,800
Seat 8 : papichulo starts with 112,600
Seat 9 : otHockey starts with 24,700
Seat 10 : ipcdmatt starts with 42,800
Seat 7 : PDT21 has the dealer button

Here is what happened. (sorry, but bisons hand converter doesnt do PSO)

>>>DEALING HOLE CARDS<<<
Hero dealt down 8c Th
RIVERC posts the ante 200
Hosayif posts the ante 200
__1stBroker posts the ante 200
PDT21 posts the ante 200
papichulo posts the ante 200
otHockey posts the ante 200
ipcdmatt posts the ante 200
papichulo posts the small blind 500
otHockey posts the big blind 1,000
ipcdmatt folds
RIVERC folds
Hero raises 1,000 to 2,000
__1stBroker calls 2,000
PDT21 folds
papichulo folds
otHockey calls 1,000
>>>DEALING FLOP<<< [ 7d 6h 5c ]
otHockey checks
Hero bets 23,000 and is all-in
__1stBroker folds
otHockey calls 22,500 and is all-in
Hero takes back 500
Hero cards were Th 8c
otHockey cards were 7s 7h
>>>DEALING TURN<<< [ 2c ]
>>>DEALING RIVER<<< [ Tc ]
otHockey wins 52,900 with three of a kind, sevens

Was I correct in making this play, or should I have just sat and waited for the other players to bust? Where was my biggest mistake? The minraise preflop or the all in on the flop assuming I played this incorectly (which im pretty sure i did)

not sure why you pushed there.
you shuold make a continuation bet of about half the pot right here. if he calls, you need to hit your straight. if he raises, you get the hell out of that pot. easy situation here, no reason to get your undies in a bunch and push for no reason.

muck preflop (PF)

If ur going to steal make a pot raise (i dont advise it here)

check behind and take a free card. Fold to a bet.

At this point, no one respected half pot sized bets. They were called or raised about 85% of the time.

I don't like this line at all. First, you really need to raise enough preflop to discourage callers - whether you have AA or 72o. The miniraise simply invites callers, especially ones that we do not want to see calling like A8, AT, KTs, JT, etc. All of those we would like to see fold, and they would probably be correct in doing so in every case. Second, I don't like how you basically give up on the flop. Essentially, the big overbet announces that you have total garbage. Had you raised properly, you could be fairly sure that no one liked this flop unless they called with AA-77. In this case someone did, but that's results orriented. Having that said, you bet a normal amount if you feel that people are calling your raises with unpaired big cards and you represent a big pair. That way, you will discourage people with marginal holdings that beat you from calling (if you have a tight image) and you can also get away from the hand with some chips left behind to continue if you get called or raised.

This is how I would have played it assuming I decided to steal with T8o from MP:

Hero raises to t3,000
Villian reraises all-in (I fold and I have t22,000 left)
OR
Villian calls
All fold
Flop comes 7d 6h 5c [t8,900 pot]
Hero [t22,000 left] bets t4,000
If Villian calls or raises, we are through with this hand.
Hero has t18,000 left to finish the tourney and there are still 2 players with a smaller stack.

Then what was the rational for min-raising T8o out of position? Horrible preflop raise, either make it larger, or fold. On the flop, I throw out a smallish bet. Hoping that I will be able to draw cheaply to my straight, or fold to a push. If you are intent on pushing, go for the check-raise, it gives you a chance at a free card.
