Default $22: Marginal positive equity spot in the SB. Pass or push?

7 players, blinds 75/150

Relevant stacks sizes BEFORE blinds are posted

SB: HERO ( $585 )
BB: VILLAIN ( $505 )

Dealt to HERO K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Folded around, Hero ???

PokerStove sez Hero is a 53% fave over random hand. Push the small edge now, or pass and wait for a steal opportunity later? (BB is a competent player. I expect him to call with any two, sitting on 350 after his blind was posted.)

Whoa, you have the chance to open push this and you're thinking of laying it down here with 7 players still left?!?!?!!?

Yugoslav
PS He won't call with any two.

Anything but allin is terrible. Similar to folding AA UTG the first hand of the tournament...thats really how bad it is to fold here.

(I'm not sure if thats completely accurate but it's close and it seems like a good way to press home the idea that allin is so blatently obvious that anything else is completely insane)

What are you pushing here? Top 60%? 70? Any two?

Maybe he won't call with any two, but I think his range is pretty wide given our stack sizes and his pot odds.

Even a lot of players that know they should be pushing any two don't -- I'd be really surprised if BB called with two non-paired, non-suited cards below 7.

Besides that, this isn't a marginal edge. You're betting 430 to win 580 = 1.35 to 1. You've got way better than that.

Overall, easy push.

See, I push here curtains...I'm not completely insane. I'm just somewhat insane, right?

I'll probably push close to what I push HU on level 10.

It is tempting to push more, however, as if you steal those blinds it's a huge coup.

I push here something close to 100% of the time against 100% of opponents.
