Default KQ makes TP on Flush Board HU

Party 1/2 H'em (10 handed) MP3 is 24/6/1.5 over 70 hands

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Hero raises, 4 folds, MP3 calls, 3 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP3 raises, BB folds, Hero calls.

Heads up, what are the odds MP3 has two diamonds? I'm thinking it could be a flush draw and I'll fold to another diamond. I'm also thinking my Q and/or K outs might be good against certain hands or I might even be up against a weaker Q and be ahead.

Turn: (5.25 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets, Hero calls.

River: (7.25 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9.25 BB

I would 3-bet the flop and lead the turn.

I don't like any line that includes checking the turn.

The way you played it I would have bet the river.

3-bet the flop, lead out the turn -- call a raise to a non-diamond, call a river with a non-diamond.

Looks like its already been said. Checking that turn is pretty bad IMO.

OK, thanks.

As for the results if anyone is interested, MP3 didn't have a diamond, but he did have AA. Not that it changes the best way to play this hand. I was kind of surprised he didn't 3-bet preflop.

Why 3-bet a marginal hand preflop?

People like to get clever preflop with hands like this at the low limits and we need to thanks them for it.

I call the flop too, but I bet the turn. I like to mix in the stop-n-go when I have top pair on a monotone flop. Sometimes I'll 3-bet/lead-turn too.
