Default 2nd Nuts

3/6 Limit at AC Harrah's. Typical 3/6 game. UTG is fairly tight, but also took in alot of pots by just limping in. There's been very little raising preflop at the table, maybe once every 5 hands a pot will get raised preflop. When this hand came up, I was running pretty bad at the time.

I'm on the button with 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

UTG limps. MP1 calls, bunch of folds. Cut off calls. I call on the button. Small blind calls, Big Blind checks.

Flop comes 4-6-8 rainbow. Check, Check, UTG bets out. MP1 calls, CO calls, I bump it to $6. SB and BB folds everybody else calls.

Turn comes a 10. No flush draws on the board. UTG thinks for a second longer than usual and then checkss, MP1 checks, CO checks, I bet $6. UTG1 calls, everybody else folds.

River is a King. UTG checks. I bet. UTG raises ?!?.. Call or Raise here with second nuts?

Easy raise, call the 4 bet.

Umm...raise...and then raise again and again and again and then maybe call. If UTG shows you 79 then that really sucks. I bet he turns over KT or T8, personally. But you certainly have to 3-bet and call a cap (or if it's unlimited last round raising, raise again).

Very easy raise IMO. Passive AK, or Kx 2 pair is very likely to be raising you.

In all my years of live play, I've never seen a non-maniac, non-LAG 4-bet any street without the nuts, so I'd probably actually 3-bet here and fold to a 4-bet. Sounds crazy, but since the OP doesn't think this Villain is a maniac, the chances he doesn't have 97 if he 4-bets are like 0.

This makes ZERO sense, as you are the best player around, so why consult anyone lese? Or are you posting to show your friend how retarded we all are/brilliant you are?
