Why do you assume your 2 pair is no good? I mean, I'm assuming that you're posting it because it was no good, but I'm raising the turn. Hand plays differently if you do.

I too would raise that turn. I think you'll often see a club draw making that donk bet on the turn, in addition to hands like AK/AQ. The only hand I'm actually scared of is a set, which in reality is quads (he could have AA or 77, but I seriously doubt it considering the action + you'd be holding the case card), which means it's quite unlikely.
I'd raise the turn significantly and, if you feel it's appropriate, check behind on a bricked river. I would only do this if I have a very good read -- most of the time I'm wanting to get paid off with AT or something. Also, perhaps the other hand to worry about is A5 or something like 56. If you think this guy is donkish enough to play that, I'd still raise the turn. If he calls then bets out the river, I might consider folding then depending on the size of his bet and whether or not you think he could make a bet like that with a busted draw. |

I'm a little uncomfortable with the weird stop'n'go small turn bet he pulls out. Would he call with bottom pair on flop though ?
He's either got a bigger ace or he's fishing for a raise on the turn, no way he thinks you're folding to his pathetic bet. I might raise the turn to 30-35 and fold to a repop, but you might lose action if he's not too Krazy about his ace. Check-calling is not a bad line, keeps the pot under control in case he turns out with weird trips or boat (edit: and makes more if he would fold his bare ace to a turn raise). |
