Default Getting started 6 max 10 20 and 15 30 hand

I am bit bored of NL so im going to play fixed at least for a while, hopefully longer since after first day this seems like lot of fun
Dont get me wrong I have played several thousend hands of 10 20 and 15 30 fixed earlier, but im now going to play much more.

Anyway these hands sum my problems right now together pretty well:
PokerStars 10/20 Hold'em (3 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Button raises, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, Button calls.

Flop: (7 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

River: (6.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

Final Pot: 8.50 BB

How is this line? At what point should I calm down and just check-fold?

Is three bet preflop bad against agressive opponent?

PokerStars 15/30 Hold'em (5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP calls, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (3 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, MP folds.

Turn: (2.50 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

River: (4.50 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 4.50 BB

Should I value bet this river?

Dump hand 1 preflop. You don't have enough equity with JT with BB still to act and OOP.

I think you should raise flop in hand 2. Your hand is vulnerable and you need to protect it. Getting MP out is also good, as you then have position.

Hand 1: yes, probably bad. You need a hand with showdown potential to play like this. You currently have Jack high, which isn't winning many showdowns. I would save this move for for hands like KT, KQ, A7, etc that can win unimproved.

Hand 2 - this is opponent specific, and there's a lot of concepts in play. You should read the 'heads up on the end' chapter in theory of poker, it covers everything you need to think about.

This hand and board, I would probably check/call. Your opponent is likely to have some kind of busted gutshot and might try to bluff the river after two paints have peeled off.

You probably right about hand 1, I just see all the time couple very very good scandinavian short handed fixed specialist three-betting about everything on SB, like 63s.

Hand two, I thought about raising the flop, but the limp from MP was little weird it allways confuses me when someone open limps in short handed.
So I was worried about someone three betting me two easially there and then I dont sure when I can let my hand go.

Don't get scared by a limp! Lots of idiots in 10/20!

hand 2- i would raise the flop and i would also bet the river you'll get called by any pair and likely A-high as well.

Hand one you should probably muck preflop, only bet the river if you think your opponent has less than Ace high. Hand 2 you need to raise the flop and value bet the river.

all of you guys want to sit 3 handed with me? I'd love to have your blinds 80% of the time.

hand 1 comments

I don't mind the preflop 3 bet, depends on how you've played similar hands and if the button is as wide as he should be 3 handed. I like to mix it up with some calling here for metagame purposes.

postflop illustrates why calling is beneficial sometimes...you don't have ways to make him fold too well. Given that you got to the river betting, you're probably best firing again and hoping you hit a pair next time

Hand 2 depends on his river stats and other said stats. I like the line up to the river, though.
