Heard at the local cardroom on a Tuesday during a promotion where if AA gets cracked, the loser wins $75. Of course all of the donkeys are sitting there waiting for their AA. At one point the gentleman next to me said "I've had 6 Aces in my last 5 hands but I just cant seem to get AA"

Running nines let's him take down the pot with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Ya mine is similar. A guy hit a gutshot straight heads up against me and when someone else at the table mocked him (wasn't me!) he retorted something like "I was getting good odds"
He was getting anywhere from 3-5 : 1 all on the last three streets....

2-5 live game. The buy-in is $500. I have 4k behind, fish has 1k. I limp. He raises to 30. 3 people call. I reraise to 250 with QQ. He calls 220 more, so does another guy. Flop is 3 9 3 with 2 hearts. I bet 250, he goes all-in for 500 more, I call.
He has A3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. His reasoning as to why he called PF, "I wouldn't have called if they weren't suited."
