Serious im not lying. I was stuck around the $10 - $20 mark for a good while until i cut out any stupid moves and then i started moving up no problem.

I dont work for pokerstars, in fact im thinking of trying out new sites as it gets quite difficult once you reach the higher limits as the standard of play is alot better but on the low limits it is easy to build up a bankroll which i thought was the point of this discussion.

here is the absolute best advice you will recieve, save your money, don't play online and get to the nearest cardroom.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow. Uh, no. With $50, you'd last maybe an hour at a B&M casino. Rake and tips kill any live game under 3-6, and it's not til 5-10 or higher that you get enough breathing room to survive the rake and the leaks common to new players (no matter how much they've studied). Sure, live games are soft, but variance and rake will kill a small bankroll.

If you don't have much money to risk, then stick to microlimits. Play tight -- you won't be learning how to play marginal hands postflop, but the reduced variance from 23% VPIP to 17% will help you keep that $50 longer.

Stars and UB both have decent micros. You should be able to turn that $50 into $200+ in a few weeks, enough to move to the soft 50c-$1 games at Party.

I'm not saying it's rigged so you guys don't get your panties in a bunch but I am saying it ain't right, the players don't play correctly, and rng's aren't realistic so flame away but it's true.

[/ QUOTE ]

it's not rigged, but it "ain't right"? I'll not flame you, not worth my time.

I only play live now, blah, blah, blah...Nothing better than having a few internet players sitting at my table, it's like having an ATM at my disposal.

[/ QUOTE ]

Imagine a table where every seat is filled with internet players. That would be like having 9 ATM's at your disposal. Know where to find games like this?

ONLINE.

no kidding 50.00 won't last you. Hence my remark about saving your money, and no, it's not right and if you believe it is you're just another sucker in the land of plenty. Internet poker is one dimensional, personal interaction is what makes poker the great game that it is. On the puter it's garbage, people play crap cards, why? Because they never have to show their face. They berate eachother, pretend to be great and other things that they are not, why? Hiding be hind that damn screen again, lie about how well they do, have bots play for them, etc. etc. step up to the plate, play the game the way it was intended, grow a set of balls! and btw, flame away sucker, just come have a seat at my table when your done.

Internet players are the scourge of the earth and need to get there fat asses outta the recliner and join in a real game. I'd kill myself if I had to play .10/.25 poker and then caught myself bragging about how good I am. You guys are a freaking joke.

Ummmm...yeah, you do. When players make mistakes, you profit. If you actually understood the fundamentals of the game, you'd know that. The funny thing is this post actually does make me want to play live. The players are so much worse than online at much higher limits. Now if I could just figure out how to multitable...

you are a nit! I'm done with you. I do understand it, I live it every day (night actually) and I don't waste my time playing online. If you have nine players chasing and you start the hand ahead preflop, I'd put my money on one of the 9 others out drawing you more times than not but you believe what you want and when you grow up and are old enough to get in a cardroom you'll see that internet poker is a bunch of crap! LOL pissants, you guys got me laughing so hard I blew coffee outta my nose! Personally, I don't give a fat rats ass where you piss your money away at, would just prefer it was at my table. good luck with your nickel and dime crap! lol

The question isn't whether one of the 9 will draw out on you more times than not, the question is whether you will win more than 10% of the time. If you do, you will make a profit. Do you see why?

If you'd like us to sit at your table, perhaps you'd be kind enough to tell us where you play. I am old enough to enter a card room and have on more than one occaision. I found the play to be terrible -- much worse than online. (e.g. 5/10 live played like $.50/1 online.) If you'll tell us where you play and I'm ever in the area, I'd be happy to stop by and ask to sit at your table.
