Default In need of moral support

Please tell me I’m not alone but that you winning players all have had the same streaks I have had for a while now.

Not that I wish you bad beat streaks but I feel I’m falling apart completely.

I have been playing 2/4 limit at eurobet for two moths soon. I don’t think I play all that bad, even though I’m not an expert.

But during the last 25k hands I’m now on my 3:rd 200BB+ bad beat streak.

I tell you THIRD, that’s THREEEEEEEEEE TIIIIIMMMMMEEES

Sorry for my outburst.

I think it’s true bad bets (not bad play). For example I’m during this 25k hands behind on two pair (???) and just slightly ahead on three of a kind. (PT misc. stats).

I’m starting to blame everyone else but myself so tell me this is normal. That it happens to everyone at some point.

Three 200bb downswings in 25k hands? I think you might be alone on this one.

did u start at .5/1 and move up? have you read SSH? Do you post hands on micro-limit forum for review? What is your BR? Sounds like you aren't ready for 2/4

Yes I did start from .5/1 and moved up.

.5/1 about 3BB/100 (don’t have all of the stats in the same db)
1/2 42 k hands 2BB/100
2/4 40k hands 0.23BB/100

of those 40k hands the last 25k hands –0.75BB/100

And yes I have placed some posts but not for a while. Mostly I have read posts from others and yes I have read SSH. I had trouble at 1/2 level and that book made me hit off on that level.

2/4 level started out ok the first 15k hands I had 1.8 BB/100.

I’m convinced I play an ok game (not expertly though) here are some stats from the 25k hands

VP$IP: 16.2
FSB to Steal 85.7
FBB to Steal 73.9
Att. Steal 28.2
W$WSF 31.4
Went to SD 27.3
Won$ at SD 51.4
PF raise 7.8

Sorry to burst your bubble but you don't. You are terribly weak tight, and at best maybe a 1BB/100 winner at 2/4. Time to really work on your game and get it up to a higher level.

Drop down to 1/2 until you can get your winrate up and you get better. The jump from 1/2 to 2/4 seems to be a big hurdle for a lot of players, its best to make sure you are ready before you make the jump. IMO by the time you move up in levels you should be confident enough to think "I should have moved up a while ago, I'm more than ready." Personally, when moving up levels, if you multitable is to take a few weeks for the transition, mixing levels, until you end up on 2/4.

Although a rocky downswing/dry-spell, he isn't even down 200BB during this period, which is not that exceptional...

His PT stats aren't that fantastic, but mine aren't either.

**It happens, Peter ... focus on playing your best while improving your game at the same time.

This may make you feel better ---> LINK

I went down over $7000 playing $3/6 NL, that's over 1000 BB. It started right after my cashout. Started getting even better pockets, with even better flops in order to build my aggressive image and devastating rivers! They're all there in the link. Read on.

you're joking right? I'm pretty tired and my sarcasm detector is at 100%

DISCLAIMER: I'm playing lower limits than you, so take this as you want.

Your VPIP seems good. Although I've seen others say they have a higher (23%+) VPIP and are still winning well, I think the gain is small and the increased variance is huge. If you're looking for the optimal risk-averse strategy, I think 16% is ok.

FBB to Steal number looks low, based on what I've seen from others. Hopefully someone will chime in.

PFR looks low. Mine is 6% and I *know* that's too low; I'm working on raising it right now.

Finally, I worked an exercise with a friend of mine. Flushes come in once every 300ish hands. Over 25,000 hands, that's 80 flushes. It's easy to see that being behind over 25,000 is within the realm of statistical probability. It's unlikely, but possible. Definitely spend more time reading and reviewing, to make sure that you're not playing poorly, but don't get too down on yourself.
