Default Traveling Poker Pros - Housing

OK, so I've got a question for those of you who play for a living. With regards to sleeping accomodations, do most of you rent a hotel room (poker rate, of course) where ever you go? Or do you try to spend more than a week in a place and rent a house? I'm just curious what the traveling poker pro does for housing. Or do most people just have a home base and travel occasionally? Also, if you do rent a room every night, what is the average rate you pay per night? Does anyone know how much it is to rent a place for a month in Vegas or LA versus getting a hotel room?

Thanks in advance for your responses.
