Provolone
Is this made similarly to mozarella?
It's pretty good (weird texture and a little bland, but this is a mild provolone... First time I've had this cheese. It's probably an acquired taste but it's alright. I'm eating ti plain currently. How would you guys cook it? --Dave. |

Re: Provolone
You can get provolone "sharp", which has a more piquant flavor. Excellent on ham, roast beef, and turkey.

Re: Provolone
while the overprocessed/americanized versions of the two are similar; a good provolone is hard, slightly flaky, and quite sharp, whereas mozzarella is soft, milky, and mild.
