Default 30/60 I hate being pasive with AK..

Got moved to a different table, 30-60 live game, trickier game and more aggressive.

I get dealt AK offsuit in the SB.

2 guys fold, to a vietnamese girl (loose, crazy preflop but very good post flop player. She knows I know this. She probably thinks I'm a TAG more typical ABC player) who raises. 2 more guys fold, I 3-bet in SB, BB folds. She calls.

HU

Flop is 9-2-3 rainbow (suits don't matter). I bet, she raises. I call.

Turn is a 4. I check, she bets.

River, is another 4. I check, she bets, I check-raise.

How would you have played this hand?

Lawrence

Passive?

I see nothing she's betting on the river that will fold to a check-raise. Just a waste of $60, IMO.

So I probably play the same except I check-fold the river.

Are you trying to c/r her off of a better hand? Off the same hand? Your flop/turn action screams AK (or something similiar). I think the time for a move is the turn, don't you? She might fold a pair on the turn to a c/r, as that looks like an overpair. The river c/r might look like one as well, but if she's good postflop she's realized that now there is much more money in the pot, and a call is closer.

I'd put her to a decision on the turn, if my intent was to get her off a better hand. Not only does it look more like what I want her to think I have, but the pot is smaller, and makes it easier for her to fold.

The other option, of course, is to just c/c the whole way, and hope that she's betting the river expecting you to fold AK. If that's what she wants, dissapoint her.

thoughts?

I don't understand the check raise on the river but on the other streets the hand is played like I would play it.

3 bet flop or call and c/r on turn and bet the river if she calls. or you can just dump the hand.
