Sony VAIO Screen Resolution
Hey all -
I have a Sony Vaio, relatively new, that only supports 1024x768 resolution at the max. Is this a monitor issue? Or a video card issue? Either way, I'm not too sure about how to fix this issue so I can 4-table more effectively. Thanks for the help |

Re: Sony VAIO Screen Resolution
Can you provide us with more info? Is it a notebook? Desktop? Which Model?

Re: Sony VAIO Screen Resolution
Just off the information you've given it sounds like 1024x768 is the LCDs physical limit for your laptop's display. There are no more than that many pixels on your display. The video card on the laptop, however, is likely able to drive external displays with higher resolutions. Just venturing a guess, but if you connected an external monitor to it you could probably run it at 1600x1200.

Re: Sony VAIO Screen Resolution
Ok, that's what I thought. I have connected it to another monitor for higher resolutions but I have yet to find a suitable monitor for myself.
Thanks for the help. |
