Default The perfect fish (LC)

This guy is sitting 2 seats to my right.

He plays 60-70% of his hands, giving me the opportunity to face the field with 2 preflop.

He never lets anything check through on the flop, again giving me the opportunity to face the field with 2.

And, here's the best part, he folds to my flop raise about 40% of the time, and another 40% of the time he'll check/fold to a follow-up bet on the turn.

I tell ya', he's gold, Jerry, GOLD! Wish I didn't have to run my kids to school.

Reading this I just had to share this hand. I notice this one guy at the table who is seeing the flop 100% of the time, no joke. I figure I want to isolate him quickly before he runs out of chips.

I see an opportunity to raise and isolate him, but all I have is 82o. The flop has a 2, and I've seen him call down to the river with just a high card that I decide to keep betting into him. Bet the flop. Bet the turn. Bet the river. He calls each one.

As it turns out, I had him dominated. He had Three-Duece.

Is WPWK (Worst Pair Worst Kicker) even an acronym?

Kids, do not try this at home. This was completely read-dependant. Sorry for the no content post.

Surely there will be a better spot to isolate...

I don't think he's passive but there's no doubt he's a fish...

Nobody should try this one anywhere. Your read and your play do not match up at all. If he's calling everything preflop, he probably has a *BETTER* hand than you. The fact that he will call down high card isn't enough for you to bet bottom pair into him. You need to know that he'll call down with high card and raise middle pair or better. Otherwise, you're spewing chips all over the table.
