Commerce 9/18
Preflop: I am BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Folded to Klepton in SB who raises, I 3-bet, Klepton calls. Flop: (6 sb) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Klepton bets, I call. Turn: (4 bb) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Klepton bets, I call. River: (6 bb) 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Klepton bets, I call. Final Pot: 8 bb. How'd I do? |

here is what i think carlo is thinking: (obviously this is just guessing cuz i don't know how you two have been playing and especially how you have been playing aginst each other)
Preflop: "Jason is nit and has to have some kind of hand here" (plus its a little higher than he normally plays?) Flop: "if i bet out he is gonna raise me and then i can get him) Turn: "What the hell? he didn't raise me, maybe he was waiting for the turn, i bet so i can 3bet" River: "weird, maybe he has non-set-pocket pair, I bet my K/A and expect to be called by a worse hand" this may be totally wrong... Would klepton bet any hand on the river that you beat after you called the flop and turn? Edit: i mean, you have to figure that klepton konws you are gonna call the river, right? |

I play it the same way and don't know if it's right or not.

I don't know how live 9/18 doesn't scare you, but 5/10 does. Nit.

I'm folding the turn here. Is that Weak/tight?

Why not raise the flop? Did you think you'd get more bets later by just calling and betting/raising a blank turn?

carlo knows that you know that he thinks you're a nit who he can run over, especially at a level higher than you normally play. therefore, i don't think he'll try to run over you without a hand. he expects to be called down when you have pretty much anything. so he's just value betting.
You can safely fold the turn. The sweet move would have been to fold to his flop bet. |
