So why when someone comes on here and says they have proof its fixed, everyone needs to see detailed research- but when someone comes on and says they've kept track and it's legit its taken at face value?

[/ QUOTE ] Because if you'd bothered to use the "Search" button, and search the archives, you'd see that there are already such posts, and nobody wants to have to post all their data once a week when newbies like you come to the boards like clockwork with your conspiracy theories. Conversely, if you you the search feature, you will find that there are no posts that display hard evidence of rigging, just anecdotal individual hands that are statistically insignificant. |

[/ QUOTE ] Not at all. I've done my own look into this, as have many of the posters here. Allegations that it is fixed are generally based on people's perception of events and a lack of understanding of probability. Not one poster has ever provided a statistical analysis that shows any of these allegations to have merit. Given the existence of PokerTracker, this would be relatively easy to prove, were it true. I often cite the following I witnessed with my own eyes. I saw someone dealt AA on three consecutive hands, which is highly unlikely. He raised all three hands preflop, and his AA was cracked every time. The odds against getting and losing with AA three times in a row are astronomical. Proof that online poker is rigged? Nope. This happened at Canterbury Park, at a table with a auto-shuffler, using two different decks. Play enough poker and some unlikely [censored] will happen. |

initially B&M card rooms feared online poker would hurt their business. Now their business is booming as players can practice online and then try out their luck when they feel they are ready.
Many casinos are replacing slot machines with card rooms due to demand. Before the poker boom card rooms where removed to make way for slot machines. |
