Re: If you\'re a bad girl....
Funny, I had a hand very similar to this that I wanted to post. This is my standard line here, and I have often felt that it is sub-optimal, but I really can't think of a more sensible line.
Well, I have been totally worthless. Maybe someone else can help. Jon |

Huh? What would you advocate? [/ QUOTE ] You know, I misread the action, I am retarded. I guess this is fine. Why not bet/fold that river? |

Why not bet/fold that river? [/ QUOTE ] Because if he is on a spadedraw or any other strange hand like KQ he will fold if u bet but sometimes bet if u check. There are both straight and flushdraws on flop. Easy checkcall on river for me. |

Re: If you\'re a bad girl....
[ QUOTE ]
check/call the flop fold if he bets the turn on an aceless board checkraise [/ QUOTE ] Most hands u raise from CO is without an A so if u checkraise when A hits he will often have zero overcards. Therefore u should checkraise more when A hits. If another card is highest, like J, he will often have overcard which will make him call flop and then maybe catch a draw on turn and call again. Those extra 3-6 outs that he will often have makes it less good to checkraise when there is no high card on flop. |

Re: If you\'re a bad girl....
A large percentage of hands people raise contain an Ace.
If he doesnt have one and you call a bet he will know that you know that a lot of raising hands have aces and you didnt fold so therefore its a good chance you have an ace so he will likely check the turn. I'm not worried about someone calling with overcards they are making a mistake. |

Re: If you\'re a bad girl....
I´ll prolly play it the same.
I´m not really into check-calling the flop against an unknown as it´s hard to call the turn again and he will probably end up bluffing around the right frequency, thinking that he is actually betting for value/free SD with some hands between the 5 and A. 44/33 aswell. Mix in a bit of bluffing and you may calling may be right. When it´s like this, then I´d rather check-raise the flop and make him fold those hands that you beat. The A is a pretty good card for that. You must check-raise holding the A or better sometimes too ofcourse. mix it up. |
