Default Quick question about possible typo in SSHE

Dont know if this is a typo or not (it may have been addressed if it is, but I missed that thread). I currently have the first printing only.

Anyway page286. In the hand quizz section. He says if u get check raised on the turn you have "seven outs, possibly more" to the nuts. Isnt it 9? Unless u put your villian on a set or 42 it should be 9.

Just want to make sure Im not crazy.

Here is the Hand:

You hold: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Flop:T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Turn: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

You get check raised, book says u have seven outs to the nuts.

Some spades could give somebody a straight flush.

I don't think a straight flush was being considered. You have the 3,5,7,8,9,J,Q of spades to catch. 7 cards. The 2 and 4 of spades pair the board.

Default He means set or two pair

Don't have the book here, but 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] give a likely full house (or quad 4's), given the check-raise on the Turn.

Technically, a 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], and 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] could give someone a straight flush, but i wouldn't worry about someone check-raising an inside straight flush draw on the Turn and then hitting it...though i successfully (stupidly?) did pull that move off as a semi-bluff once.

I think because he has reduced the 9 outs to 7, he has in mind that if the 4 or 2 of spades comes (pairing the board) then a full house is possible (as you already alluded to in the OP). I am assuming the point is that if the board pairs, then a flush would no longer be the nuts.

Thats pretty much what I was thinking, but he usually points out such things in the book. I thought it was weird it just said 7 outs with no expo, thats all.

When I said nuts, I meant nuts. So no pairing the board. Unfortunately, the straight flush cards don't give you the nuts either. So I screwed up all the way around.
