Re: Marginal holding, anyone find a fold here?
I would check the flop looking to check/raise an LP bettor and call an EP bettor. If someone bets in EP I will call with the intention of betting right out when the next street bricks (as it did here). This is a fine play to play these types of hands IMO. If you kicker was bigger, say AT with a backdoor flush draw, I would probably lead out as you did and then 3-bet should someone raise.

Re: Marginal holding, anyone find a fold here?
With the 2 clubs on the flop, checking could be very dangerous. I like the concept of ck raising, but would hate to give someone w/a club flush draw a free ride.

Re: Marginal holding, anyone find a fold here?
My guess is villain is 1)On a flush draw as has been suggested or 2)Two pair. I would almost guarantee you're up against two pair or a T w/better kicker...AT??
Better players than I have said okay to play as you did, but I don't agree. I'd fold. |
