Interesting Tournament Result

I was at an O/8 tournament at Hollywood Park about a month ago, it was $200 + 25 with 102 entrants.

At my table were a couple of top tournament stars (including the current #1 ranked Omaha tournament player). There was also a very pretty young lady who was playing in her first tournament. In fact, if I remember correctly, she said she had very little experience at Omaha (hi-low), and played very small games only.

She sure was getting hit by the deck though, and really raking some big pots. She played fairly smart though, despite her lack of experience.

Well, I picked up the current Card Player, and there she is, the pretty young lady on page 120 (June 20 edition), she won the whole thing.

Congratulations to her, great job.

OK, that wasn't exactly earth shaking news there, and I myself had some good tournament successes early on. Still I thought it was interesting.
