Default Big Trips to Minraise - PL Draw

PL 5-card Draw on Pokerroom, 5-handed

I have QQxxx in the SB, CO limps, Button limps, I check, BB checks

I pick up a third Queen after the draw, pot is $4

I pot it, and BB instantly minraises me, CO and Button fold

Can I pop it back, and how much if so? No read on BB.

How many did he draw?

I don't know that I would reraise here, but I'm not good at this game. I doubt you'd get much value -- pretty easy to fold two pair to a reraise. Maybe he'd pay off with smaller trips.

Seems a little to dangerous to reraise here. Sure, you might be payed off by smaller trips, but there is also a risk that he has AAA, KKK or even a straight, flush or boat (especially if he drew one, obviously, but not impossible if he drew two or three either). With some of those holdings he would raise you AGAIN, and that would not be much fun.

And if he has something like 555 or aces up, he might very well fold here.

However, take this with a grain of salt. I'm good at limit draw, but not very good at PL.

You certainly shouldn't make this play if you aren't prepared to fold to a four-bet.

Without reads, so much depends on how many he drew.

If he drew 1, call. If he drew 3, raise. If he drew 2 or 4 I would be confused so i would just call.

i am assuming that your opponent drew 3 also.

well you seem to have 2 problems here.

first: this is an unraised pot and what is it you do not want to do in an unraised pot? that is correct you do not want to go broke.

second: you have no read on your opponent. if you don't know that this guy overvalues small trips and 2pr then why would you reraise and open the betting again?

like timprov said if you are not going to lay down your QQQ to then next, inevitable, pot-sized bet then you shouldn't bet your QQQ. since you are asking this question i am guessing you would grit your teeth, close your eyes and call that bet too, wouldn't you? (be honest)

if you believe that your QQQ is good enough to reraise with here, and you do. why did you feel that your QQ was not good enough to raise predraw with? (and min-raising predraw doesn't count).

fwiw, i believe that most of your opponents would call your raise with worse trips here but, that does not make this hand worth reraising with.
