ThePool.Com bookie credibility?

Is ThePool.Com a bookie (or "bookie", since they pool bets) to trust?

I need to make some bets within 24 hours, and they have by far the best odds. Makes me wonder if they are legit...

In general, is there any good watch-dog-kind-of source to check for trusted bookies?
