Re: OESD on the bubble
I'd probably fold. With him being in SB it is very hard to know if he hit the flop or not. Besides you don't have eight clean outs if he is drawing to the flush.
You are in pretty good shape as it is, even when folding. |

I'd fold after that flop, but I would have pushed pre-flop unless I really think he is trapping me from previous experience.

Re: OESD on the bubble
Oh, push preflop, call flop? I doubt I can fold this getting 3:1... Meh. Since there's a flush draw out there... But it's really likely that opponent has an ace or a jack here...

Re: OESD on the bubble
I overlooked that the Q and the T may be clean outs here. Perhaps pushing the flop isn't that bad after all.
Problem is that we have zero information here. His flop bet can mean anything from him having a good hand to him being prepared to fold the second we push. I'm still not crazy about risking to cripple a healthy stack here. |

Re: OESD on the bubble
Okay, now that I've gotten sopme generic situational answers, I'm going to give a little background.
The villain has limped into my BB twice already and I pushed both times, so there is a very real chance that he's setting a trap. HOWEVER, he has not played particularly well so far and he could be limping with another hand he'd fold -- but I don't want to risk the tournament on it. The mini-bet on the flop falls right into my read of him as a poor player who doesn't really know what he's doing (or how to steal blinds). But that read also means he would probably call a push of mine with any piece of the flop -- and he could still be trapping me with a big ace. The push preflop seemed risky, given that he might be getting sick of me doing that, so the check was standard. On the flop, the decision was tough, and I knew I would have plenty of easy decisions later, so I folded. But I'm not sure that it was the right play. |
