Default i cut myself off at 30BBs

I just blinded out after losing 30BBs. I think this is good practice for anyone who feels like they are running cold. Never get in too deep.

In fact, I suggest 25BBs at worst.

(just a few side notes, here is the definition of a bad session:

i won 7 hands out of 141. two were "blind steals". one, i raised with JTs in CO and got a caller in SB, who folded to my flop bet even though I missed. one, i raised button with J8s and got both SB and BB to call. flop came 889, but i got no action after i bet it. one was when i hit my set of 9s on my second hand of the session and made 8 bbs off of it. one, i hit top pair and got 3bet on the flop, and nearly laid it down. it got checked down after that.

Net won: $170. Net lost: $480.
24.2/12.0/1.65
went to SD: 24%, won@sd 21%

I would not sit at a game with less than 10 BB. If you wanna take a break after losing 30BB, that's fine, just buy in with 40 and leave when you're down to 10.

No, I sat down with 25 at each of 4 tables, and lost 30BBs altogether

I read some story about Annie Duke's grandfather or something reccomending some 30BB stop loss rule to her and her sayign she follows it. For live play I guess I could see this being good but online I dont think this is a good idea.

Do you multitable? I find this helpful given that this situation will happen pretty often in 6MAX.

You may not play bad at all but still lose your whole buyin.
I find multitabling helpful for helping me not get too psychologically bothered by one tables results.

Last night after 20 minutes at 4 10/20 6MAX tables I was at $529, $1120, $1063, and $0. Still had a decent session.

It happens don't sweat it.
