Re: WSOP Bubble Insurance for Free?
[ QUOTE ]
Bluff is offering Bubble Insurance for up to 1,000 players in this year’s 6,600 player field. Players can register for Bubble Insurance for free at the Bluff Magazine trade show booth on July 6, 7, 8, and 9th provided that they agree to wear their free Bluff t-shirt throughout the main event [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] if you have a stars shirt this year, and bluff pays for next year, are you still obliged to stars? [/ QUOTE ] my nterpretation is that you have to wear the shirt THIS YEAR to get the insuance, |

Same here; I'm already commited to wearing Prima's Jesterware. Maybe if they have a thong, that would work? Shauna [/ QUOTE ] Have to show it sometime. |

Re: WSOP Bubble Insurance for Free?
1,000 players out of 6,600 bubble-insured with Bluff.
5 bubble-seats "paid". If all is even - and in this years field it pretty much should be - Bluff will be awarding 5 * 1,000 / 6,600 = 0.76 "bubble seat" for a value of $7,600. EV for each bubble insurance taker: $7,600 / 1,000 = $7.60. Even if I was going to play in ME I would never consider selling myself as ad poster over the course of 5 days for $7.60, or $1.12 per day. Your local grossery store should probably be willing to pay you more for wearing their T-shirt. Bluff's "generous" offer is for suckers only. Best, McMelchior (Johan) |

Re: WSOP Bubble Insurance for Free?
I'm not wearing the shirt more than 2 days, if they're only giving me one. Funky.

Re: WSOP Bubble Insurance for Free?
I think poker players will soon become plastered with logos - similar to a NASCAR vehicle and drivers outfits.
One way to do the Bluff thing and Poker Stars shirts at the same time.... Wear your required shirt (from the site that sponsored your entry fee) as your regular shirt, then drape the Bluff shirt as a "cape" over your back. Essentially you are wearing it but it won't simultaneously cover up the Poker Stars logo. |

Re: WSOP Bubble Insurance for Free?
This is one of the most retarded things I have ever heard of.
If you're already limiting your payout to five seats, why would you limit the number of people who can participate? |

Re: WSOP Bubble Insurance for Free?

Re: WSOP Bubble Insurance for Free?
[ QUOTE ]
With 6,600 players competing for a bracelet this year, the 2005 WSOP is the biggest sporting event in history. [/ QUOTE ] Poker is NOT a sport. It is a competition, or a hobby, but sport it is not. Not dissing OP, just dissing Bluff. |
