if i preorder his book thru Amazon [with 1 day Air-shipping] when the release date is June 30th, will i get it June 30th or 31st? does preordering mean it goes out earlier?

i think it just means that they'll ship it to you as soon as they get it, so probably they'll ship it out on June 30th, thus you'll get it the next day.

I may be wrong, but I think that pre-ordering just reserves a book for you when they come in. Meaning, they'll first ship to the people who have pre-ordered before shipping to people that order at a later date.

Amazon has a history of getting release dates wrong, so don't be disappointed if your book doesn't arrive soon.

I once preordered a DVD from Amazon and received it a day before its official release date. No promises, though. Except that you won't receive it on June 31.

Have any of you actually preordered it? If so, what is your estimated ship date?

I've had Greenstein's book & Byron Jacobs' book both preordered for over a month. Estimated ship date is August 9th! I need to find out which book is slowing it down.
