Why did you bet this river? Would he call you with K high here?

I'm fairly certain a K is calling this board.

alright. When he calls will Hero be best over 50 percent of the time? I'm thinking no.

Bad river bet.

If you're missing these value bets with a read like I had, then you're leaving money on the table, JT.

No and why'd you fail to 3-bet the river with 777AA then with your stellar read? That is, you'll bet with a bad ace high, but won't 3-bet the virtual nuts against this guy?

Well, this is fun. It's harder to find these guys at 3/6 than it was for me at 2/4.

Hand 1: I might've bet the flop, but I can see that your flop check set up the turn raise, which I like and which worked nicely. Checking the flop was a good move, I think.

Hand 2: I wonder about the river bet, but I guess the maniac either could find the fold button once in awhile or would call down with some really weak hands. But the river bet could have some combined bluff/value-bet advantages, under the right circumstances.

Hand 3: This guy is really nuts, isn't he? By the way, I think donk-betting into him and letting him raise might be better on the turn. Then again, it sort of depends on whether you like your hand enough to 3-bet the turn.

Hand 4: Looks good to me.

Hand 5: Well, the results to this one help explain your river bet in Hand 2.

Edit: Wow, that was quick. Now I guess I'll see what others have said.

I want to make it clear, though, that my opponent in the OP hand is NOT the maniac from the other posts -- he's just a regular LAG.

[/ QUOTE ]

Then I would fold preflop. At $3/6 with the shitty rake and SB structure my 3-bet cutoff is AT.

Then I don't understand the preflop 3-bet with A4o.
