I also find that Mandalay has a good rate, great place to stay and only 5 hours / day.

I have been there several times where the largest game was 4/8 with .5 kill. Is this typical? What mid-level games (6/12-15/30) do they play regularly there?

Aren't Monte Carlo and Mandalay 3-star hotels? (A notch below Mirage/2 below Wynn/Bellagio)

I hadn't heard of Monte Carlo and Mandalay's poker rates. What are they?

Although, if their highest games are 4/8 I probably wouldn't book.

According to TravelAxe, Mandalay, Mirage, and Monte Carlo are all 4 stars.

Mandalay Bay is nicer than Mirage. Haven't been to the Wynn, but of the others I would rank Mandalay 3rd in Vegas behind Venetian and Bellagio (not much behind Bellagio). I would guess the Wynn may be nicer as well, but as I said I haven't been inside yet. With that being said, the Mirage is cheaper than Mandalay and the poker room at the Mirage is much better.

Are the games soft at Mirage? How would you rank the 8/16, 10/20, 15/30 games among all the vegas rooms?
