Default \"Nice slowplay\"

When a downswing takes out a third of you bankroll, it's good that there are hands like these. If you can't make money, at least you can be laughing.

UTG (t1020)
MP (t995)
CO (t870)
Button (t2050)
SB (t1325)
Hero (t1740)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, CO calls t100, 2 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: (t250) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks.

Turn: (t250) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks.

River: (t250) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks.

Final Pot: t250

Results:
CO has Ac Ah (three of a kind, aces).
Hero has Jh 4d (high card, ace).
Outcome: CO wins t250.

it was actually a brilliant play, the only way he can have any remote chance of getting your money is by checking. That is if he knew what you had.

Haha.

The CO's play is terrible from start to finish. You don't limp in the CO with anything when you have 9BBs. You can limp/trap in the SB, UTG, but not the CO. It just doesn't make sense.

This reminds me of a live tournament I played in recently. A guy I know who fancy's himself a card player flopped a full house in the BB vs. one player, and checked it all the way to the river.

He turned his cards up and I nearly spit my drink out.

I see people do this and it blows my mind, you have absolutely nothing to lose by betting the river when it is checked to you in this situation with a monster hand.

Bet something pathetic to induce a call.
