PStars just restarted the tournament - blinds jumped from level 5 to level 10 ... this is completely meaningless. No notification of what's going on. This in not PokerStars worthy.

Explanation from Lee Jones in place.

Best,

McMelchior (Johan)

Dear Sir or Madam,
As described in previous email a server incident during PokerStars Tournament 9110854 caused the blinds to skip 6 levels from level 4 to level 10. This made the outcome of the tournament truly random, and not acceptable based on the publicised terms I and the other players entered the tournament on.

I urge PokerStars to return the prizesum to the players active in the tournament at the time of the incident.

At this point the remaining number of players was 659, the prize sum was $28,300 and the amount of chips in play was 1,413,555.

I held at that point and above average stack of t3,400 chips, which briefly after the un-announced restart of the tournament on level 10 was wiped away.

My equity in the tournament at the time of the incident is therefore $28,300 / 1413555 * 3,400 = $68.07.

I appreciate PokerStars disbursement to my account of this amount - thank you.

Sincerely,

[My PokerStars handle]

Hi folks -
Sorry for the down-time. We're back up now and everything is "normal". If Something Bad happened to you because of this, please email

support@pokerstars.com

Again, our apologies for the glitch, and to answer the first fellow's question, no, it's not common. We had a thing last week and this, but I can't remember the last time we were down before that.

Best regards,
Lee Jones

Hi all -
We know that the $22+R satellite to the $500+30 event this afternoon got screwed up by the down-time today.

We cancelled that event and are doing a Roll Forward, which basically means that half the prize money is divided equally among all players and the rest is divided based on chip count.

If you have any questions, please contact

support@pokerstars.com

Again, we apologize for the satellite problem. We work very hard to prevent these glitches, but when they happen, we bend over backwards to make things right for people that were affected.

Best regards,
Lee Jones

I spoke too soon. Stars has not included me in the refund even though I had 2000 chips at the time of the debacle....
