Pokergripes,
If you're going to try and play an attorney on the internet, you should at least come up with something more clever (or at least more original) than challenging people to play head-up. It's been done to death, dude. |

[ QUOTE ]
Or put his opp on tilt, or advertise to other players at the table that he ran a bluff all the way through to the river so he'll get paid later, or get the opp back for something earlier you didn't see him do first to PG, etc... Oh, wait, sorry about all that, I forgot: PG is a rich, smart guy who made money from the net...Dan must mean him, too... [/ QUOTE ] It was the way he did it. Very obnoxious. Regardless, it's a better example than anything Paul Phillips has done. |

[ QUOTE ]
Doyle Brunson was nice, even though he tried to pimp Doyle's Room off on me as a fish tank. . [/ QUOTE ] Doyles room is a fish tank, both literally and figuratively. Ficshman has a skin of it call "the fish tank" and it has a lot of really horrible players for it's size. |

Have you guys picked up HoH2 yet? Pg. 296 The High-Tech Millionaire: "he is not playing poker for money, he is playing to show you how clever he is" "He will bluff liberally, and he will show you his cards.... so you will know how much smarter than you he is" "your move was brilliant, but I figured it out. ha ha ha" Who could he possibly be talking about?? [/ QUOTE ] Erik123, the swedish 22 yr old? |

[ QUOTE ]
I'm sure Dan knew when he wrote this that Paul would bring it up to him and I'm confident Dan will smile politely and assure Paul he was referring to no one in particular. [/ QUOTE ] So if he says he meant me then he meant me, but if he denies he meant me then he definitely meant me. That's a powerful debating technique and I applaud your deft usage. I admit I'm not surprised that you know his mind so well; after all you've seen him on television at least two or three times. Remember the guy who said (paraphrased) that I make you feel stupid because that's what you are? We have a little saying in my home town: "What he said." |

Yeh, I think it applies to a class players who are good players but made their wealth in something else. He wouldn't have a whole category for one person. He has other categories like established pro, Internet qualifier, wealthy quasi-fish, etc.
However, it does sound an awful bit like Howards Phillips and it is hard to believe that Harrington did that by accident. If it was modeled on Phillips, Harrington would probably never admit to that. |

I am a fan of yours, you have humiliated me previously on these boards for my gramatical errors, and I took it in stride because you were so obviously right. But I have to ask you, if not you, then who is he talking about? It doesnt sound like Barry, and Gordon has only made one final table on the WPT. |
