Re: $55 ITM: Defend my blind w/ATo vs bigstack blind stealer?
This is not an insult in any way whatsoever:
It sounds to me judging from your posts today that you've been getting hit by variance or taking some bad beats. You need to stop playing so fearful and just let it loose a little bit. You know what the right play here to do is, stop fearing the worst and do what you know needs to be done. |

Re: $55 ITM: Defend my blind w/ATo vs bigstack blind stealer?
I think that is a solid push versus the range of hands he is raising. I doubt you get called here more than 20% of the time and I'd say you are only really far behind 50% of the time the big stack calls.
EDIT: Didn't see how awful he was. This is an auto-push and I pray he calls with k7s. |

Calling off 25% of your stack is no bueno. That means not good for my non-espaņol speaking friends.
I just push here. |

[ QUOTE ]
yeah, but a push is 18BB. risk everything this early in the tourny? [/ QUOTE ] Maybe it's just me, but I've been having this feeling a LOT lately. I think it mainly has to do with the new blind structure. I automatically go to push back over the top, but something starts telling me it's just not quite time for that yet. I have been folding hands lately that I would have never even thought about before. So if it was me, I actually would call, and check flop if it misses you. I know how much of your stack it is but you still have lots of FE even if the flop misses you and you CheckFold to steal some blinds later on. |
