Its illegal for those under 21 to gamble in California.

Show me this law? You can gamble at 18.

Edit: I ran over my copies of the California Penal code. Found a lot of gambling laws, nothing stating any sort of gambling age.

I think you have to be 21 to gamble at certain casinos. For instance I think you have to be 21 at Hollywood Casino. Not sure tho, as the only place I have been to when I wasn't 21 yet was Pechanga. I know for fact all the Indian casinos are 18+ tho. Not sure about Commerce, Hollywood, Bike, etc.

Hollywood, Bike, Commerce are all 21+. Also, not all Indian casinos are 18+... there are quite a few 21+.

I really believe the gambling age is 18, but a lot of casinos make it 21+ on their own (usually something to do with serving alcohol.. though Morongo does intrigue me in this way as if I remember correctly they serve alcohol at the tables and is 18+). Someone has to know for certain....

I've gotten carded twice at Commerce, once at Hustler, and once at Bike.

But...there are already at least three other threads devoted to my puerile visage.

I carried a fake (a ficticious person) for a few years, mainly to buy alcohol. Advocating this type of stuff isn't very wise. I would really hate to get into a debacle with a casino over a "real" fake ID (a felony to have one in the state of California). It is bad enough getting a long funny look at the local mini mart. I would never in a million years carry one of these into a casino (I'm 22, but I would not advocate it for the good of everyone).

I had a friend who tried to get into one of the Chicago area casino's a few years ago with a fake ID. The casino caught him, had him arrested, and he was hauled off to jail in handcuffs in the back of a police car. Then I had to leave the casino and go bail him out. Admittedly, the Illinois gaming laws are more extreme than most other states, but I would never recommend anyone to try and get into a casino with a fake ID

I didn't know Commerce was 21+, I was planning on going there too. What happens if they catch you while playing? You can still cash your chips before they throw you out right?

Thanks

Little Michael Davis just got carded walking to the men's room this past week. It will still depend on the floorperson/security but all three entrances have security looking over the incoming traffic. Even if you get in, assuming you look young, you may still get pinched later on.

A young-looking Asian guy walked in the side entrance (the one near the bathrooms and the 1/2 & 2/4 tables) right in front of me, and immediately a guard stopped him
