SittingBull I would rather enjoy the atmosphere of a casino rather than inflaming my already damaged wrist tendons.

The same reason I play in a live casino.......Competition. In the book Psycology of Poker there is a great discussion on motivations behind poker players.

Default Yo! Jimbo! Didn\'t know tapping on \"mouse\" was harmful But...

folding hand after hand in a casino IS harmful to your wrist/thumb!
I've experienced some swelling in my hand from folding so many hands at a live casino.
I think there is a big advantage in NOT having to hold cards in your hands.
Besides, what about the added advantage of NOT having to tolerate second-hand smoke? And for me personally--since I give off "tells" frequently--I have still another advantage by NOT going to the casino.

Who cares about the mythical damage 2nd hand smoke may cause when you are a smoker? Never folded a hand yet in a B&M casino so I haven't experienced that symptom. I do get some rug burn dragging the large pots towards my stack but wearing gloves will alleviate that problem.

I think the reason there are so many play money players, is that the large majority have ticked the "I am 21 or over box" wihout actually being 21. The majority of the people who spend a lot of time on the internet are still under 21. I mean, the internet age has grown somewhat, but the chatting generation are still very young. And they don't have a credit card.

1) Because the nearest casino is an hour away. My computer is right here.

2) Low rake

3) No tipping

4) Many games to choice from. If you have accounts at multiple sites there are literally 1000s of people playing at any time (unfortunately not true for TruePoker, I really liked your site, but game selection sucked. Seemed most of the people either played play or tournaney. Many times there were no 2/4 or 3/6 games going, especially in the morning).
