Default Anyone use this safety net strategy?

After having a bad losing day or two, dropping down from say 1000 nl to 400 nl. I really feel like this will be the ultimate don't-go-broke strategy, that whenever you are losing, continue moving down, and whenever you are winning continue moving up. That way, if you are playing a bad poker game for some reason, you won't be losing as quickly, and you can rebuild your confidence at a lower limit with less money at risk and against worst competition.

yes, this strategy works very well for me. generally, if i drop 5-6 buy-ins i move down one level in limits. for example, at nl400 i moved down to nl200 until i rebuilt my 20 buyin bankroll requirement for nl400 (this may be extreme). i feel like this is an effective plan b/c moving down in limits inevitably gives you confidence. you'll think "[censored] i tore up NL1000 earlier, i should easily be able to crush nl600," and this should help your play (in my opinion). also, sometimes i go back to playing just one table until i get my confidence back; i think that's a good option, as well.

I was pondering this concept earlier in the week, but instead of different levels in cash games I was going to go to SNGs.

Sure, and switching games entirely helps, too.
