He had QsQc. I guess I should have raised to 200 or so but I figured a miniraise would give me the same information cheaper...

It sure was nice of him to push with a black overpair on a flop with three to a heart straight-flush on it.

I'm not a regular here but I've taken some stabs at mid limit cash games. How do you play this if you are the villain?

Toss it on the flop to the min raise seems reasonable. Betting 80, however, is not so reasonable lol/

How should Villain play this if he indeed held AAh?

If I had AAh I'd likely call the raise and see the next card. If it's not a heart I intend to muck, unfortunately.

i love minraises in these situations, it seems to get villans to overplay their non-flush holdings because they think you are minraising for free card or something..

"Get you information?" Like, if he flat calls, you're ahead, and if he pushes, you're behind? Hmm...

(Easy call, by the way.)

So you took that "information" and still called? Theres such a small chance that your behind you should be looking to get the money in on the flop, not worrying about information, its a raised pot.

I think that miniraise gives your hand away, and i would easily muck a black QQ if i was villian, but obviously this guy thought your miniraise was to draw to another heart so it paid off.
