Re: 109 rebuy BIG pot after rebuy faze.. what do you do?
Raptor, I really think you need to try to get the money in on the flop, or by betting the turn. On this board, you're running a big risk of giving a free card to many hands that you want to charge.
I personally think getting it in on the flop is the best way to go, because 99-JJ will have a tougher time getting away where they may if a spade or big card comes off on the turn. |

Re: 109 rebuy BIG pot after rebuy faze.. what do you do?
With this line, you make the most when you´re ahead. You let the other big stack do the betting and build a nice pot for you. Problem is he will sometimes check the turn behind (and take a free card if he was semibluffing a draw) and will often fold to a turn allin checkraise if he does follow through.
But then there´s also those times when he flopped a big one. Another big stack is likely to play small pairs and suited connectors and such, so this flop could easily nail his hand or give him a nice draw. If it locked, youre stacking off to him. But if you repop the flop to 8k, for example, then you get some more information. It´s also great when he has a drawing hand like 98 or 65, so he´ll dump it and not hit cheaply. If he has you beat with a set or straight, he´ll likely jam as you seem pretty committed to the hand. With a set especially he probably wont get fancy on that drawlicious board, and will jam. Then you can lay it down safely. If you have him beat with a bluff or overpair like TT he will probably fold, yes. But those hands likely wouldnt put much more money in the pot anyway. I dont see many hands hed flat call with here, as the board is too scary and the pot is big. If he calls.... well, use your read on him to figure somthing out. Hope he doesnt flat call, blech. holla Kings |

Re: 109 rebuy BIG pot after rebuy faze.. what do you do?
This is similar to a lot of hands I see in NL cash games. He clearly has overcards... I would venture to say AA or KK (maybe 99 or 1010... JJ and QQ are reraising hands) since he flat called pre-flop. I'd play it the same way, not too fast not too slow.
How did everyone get the results on this? |
