Re: KK Preflop fold Level 1?
I never fold KK pre-flop regardless of the action in front of me. I'm not good enough to think that I have reading ability that would enable me to do this.
Plus, there's the whole thing that alot of donkeys would do this with a hand as bad as AQs or worse... A guy did it to me last night (re-raised all-in on L1) and had 55. |

Re: KK Preflop fold Level 1?
Auto-call. You'll end up seeing maybe 1 of them have JJ/QQ and the other one will flip up AJ suited or something in that range

Re: KK Preflop fold Level 1?
Hm, what about UTG AA? I raise to 60, UTG+1 El Stupido goes all-in (it was the THIRD hand of the tournament, so level 1!). I call and he shows 97s. Of course he flopped two pair. What was he really thinking? Is it possible that some guys just DON'T think and only choose their actions randomly?

Re: KK Preflop fold Level 1?
I call QQ, fold JJ. AK depends on my mood, but I dont always reraise that. Is common knowledge to lay AK down in that situation?

OK......There have been 14 responses and the decision
is UNANIMOUS. Every single person says CALL! Surely this unanimity must be a first for this forum! Naturally, I called, he turned over AA, and I was out in 10 place on the second hand of the tournament. Now mabey some people would be upset, but for me it was no big deal, as I was focusing on the other 3 games in play and starting up a 4th one. But the reason for my post in the first place is that recently there was slew statistics posts where people had combined 9th and 10th place finishes of less than 5%. And, as I described in a related thread on folding QQ, I don't see how they get under 5% if they are calling in these situations. Thanks for the input. Suerte, Jonathan |

That should get you started. SlimP |
