Are you high? Hellmuth's book is one of the worst out there! Hellmuth is an excellent player but this book is a joke. The only reason to read it would be to recognize the fish who are following his advice (they're the retards pushing all-in with pocket 7's).
As to additional books to read. TJ's book (co-authored with Tom McEvoy) "Championship No-limit and Pot-limit Hold em" is worth a read. It's probably the most widely-read tournament book and you need to recognize the concepts for your game or to adjust to opponent's who adhere to them. Rock27 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] |

Are you high? Hellmuth's book is one of the worst out there! [/ QUOTE ] I'm not a big fan of smilies or "Instant Graemlins" or whatever you want to call them. My position is that Internet culture has lost the ability to recognize satire that would have characterized the readers of, say, Swift or Twain. Nowadays the onus seems to be on the writer to point out her satire in 18-point type. "You didn't put a smiley, so I assumed you must be serious!" All that said, it makes it even funnier when someone adds the "graemlin" and still gets a reply like this. |
