Default This TAG got me running scared

Party $10-$20, SB is a TAG, and is quite aggressive and good.
K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in the CO, I open-raise, button folds, SB 3-bets, BB folds, I call

Flop is K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

SB bets I call(?).

Turn is 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
SB bets , I call(?)

River is 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

SB checks, I bet, SB calls.

How often should I play like this?

Perfect. It's a way ahead/way behind situation.

I play it like this a lot too. Though I've been leaning towards raising the turn lately, getting tired of seeing crap like Ax suck out on me on the river.

I like raising a safe river if he fires again. Was this your plan?

IMO you have raise either the turn or the river here, just depends how easy you think villan can get away with middle pairs here.

In this hand, I was going to be aggressive on the river, but sometimes I only call down.

I like calling down here vs. a tag and betting if checked to, because you dont want to get 3 bet by hands which have you screwed, and you will get the SB to check call when he is behind with smaller pairs. Well done.

I've been waffling between raising the turn and playing it like you did. You're not always way ahead or way behind here. Hands like AQ or AJ or whatever have a lot of outs, and these aren't unlikely holdings for SB. Maybe a decent spot to mix up your play a bit.

If the flop is two-tone, I am much more likely to raise the turn. Also, if the turn card puts another flush draw out there, I'm more likely to raise the turn against a good opponent because it looks like a possible semibluff.

Edit: Another point... Against the range of hands SB would play this way, you're way ahead much more often than way behind. This is probably the best reason to raise the turn.

I started to calculate hand ranges, but it's a little too tough to do when I'm not at home and don't have PokerStove. Maybe later tonight.
