Default Poker Room Reviews Needed of:

after reading through ALLVEGASPOKER.com i noticed these casinos missing:

Palace Station
Sante Fe Station
Texas Station

wondering if anyone has any opinions on those casinos or if there's a better site than ALLVEGASPOKER out there...

*also how are the $1/hr station casino poker comps used?

Santa Fe Station has a pretty poker nice room as I recall. I've only been once since it opened though. I have never visited Texas Station. It's like 45 minutes from my house, but one day I'll get there. Palace Station I haven't visited in a long time, but I doubt much has changed. The poker room there has an older locals crowd.

Those three poker rooms you mentioned, plus about half a dozen other (very small) poker rooms are missing from the site. The goal is to have them all online by the end of the summer. I haven't had much time to work on the site recently, but I expect to have a few weeks at the end of the summer to get all those rooms added, plus make some badly needed mods and updates to the content and infrastructure.

p.s., if anyone has any suggestions for improving the site, please send me your comments.

Hi,

I stopped at the Palace Station poker room tonight to meet a friend on our way to the Orleans, on our way to the Mirage.

I did not play at the Palace Station poker room tonight but the place looks a LOT better then it did in years past. New carpet, younger crowd, non-smoking most hours, much improved feel about it.

Texas Station I have played at for years but I've never been what you would call a regular there. Not sure why, but I've never felt warm & fuzzy there.

Santa Fe - Now this is a place I really like! Super Soft games, great food court nearby (best in Vegas IMHO), Free t-shirts, modern room with plenty of space, plenty of nice plasma TV's, speedy cocktai service, good dealers, great floor, Lots of local Muppets, etc.

As far as the Station swipe cards go; I use mine for food. I don't know if they are good for other things. A guy's gotta eat :-)

Best of Luck

Howard

Love your site, I'm on it every day reading the trip reports, gearing up for my trip in two weeks. I really wouldn't change a thing.

Install a wiki.

But you do have a really nice site, even without community editing.

While it may not be the focus of the site, it might be nice to have all the weekly tournaments at the varried rooms consolodated to one page. This has been done at other sites, but is almost always incomplete or not kept up.

Good Luck!
