Default How do I play this hand better?

I would normally fold this pre-flop. Not sure why I called the raise....

On the flop should I:

a) Lead the betting
b) check call
c) check raise
d) fold

Keep in mind that any significant action is going to pot commit the Button.

Hero ($54.2)

Depends on Villain. Is he fishy, not good, tight, loose? I'd probably lead for $2-$2.50 and see how he responds.

1.) I would also fold this preflop.
2.) You can either lead the flop or checkraise it.
3.) If you lead, and he raises you - dump it. You're only ahead of a clown's hand here if that happens. He could have AK, AA, and in some instances KK. Of course if you think he's a clown, and would do this w/ QQ, JJ - then get it all in, however - not a line I'm confident in taking.
4.) A checkraise may seem a little stronger to him, and might make him lay down a hand like AK seeing you smoothed called preflop, and might be representing something like trips.
5.) Bottom line, don't put yourself in this position by calling preflop raises w/ KQ.

A check-raise is probably not the way to go.

You are Way Ahead/Way Behind. Check/call.

Check call is fine because you can see what UTG+2 does, and check call - then lead safe turn is not a bad option.

Check raise is fine, but if he calls you are done with the hand (and again you can get away if UTG+2 does something evil).

Leading is fine, but you might get caught by UTG+2 running a check-raise.

Folding is not an option, he only bet small and you might have the best hand.

Check-raise and check/call+lead turn are all good teams in my opinion.

In theory, I think I would probably fold here due not only to the button raise, but the UTG+2 call. The button has already seen a early limp and mid limp prior to raising, so he hase to be concerned with the UTG+2 call here. I think u can probably eliminate any pocket pairs below TT. So there is a good chance you're beat here, or at best have a coin flip against mid pp.

In the heat of the game though, I might be willing to call just to see the flop.

Having seen the flop, I feel I have to place a feeler to find out where I am, plus it might make the button nervous to get bet into after PFR and an early call. But save a fold by the button, I'm not putting any more money in the pot.
