Default Too much action? PP-Standard?

Only my 3rd hand at the table and I have no notes on Villain. Thoughts on the turn raise? The ensuing calldown?

the only hand you beat is QQ played it right.. might raise the flop but waiting till the turn is ok. looks like you lost this one

Some big diamonds were also in my mind... but I need to remember that not everyone goes as psycho as the people on my buddy list

Although it will be easier to protect your hand in general with a turn raise with this big a pot, I think your relative position to the aggressor makes a flop raise a little better here. The field will know you have a big hand and won't be able to call the flop raise without a very strong hand or draw. If he 3 bets you can call down then and save yourself 1BB if you are behind which you usually are here.

I just reread your post and I think the turn action may have biased my advice. Tough one either way.

Yes but the only hand he loses to is JJ and AA so he wins a good percent of the time.

I tend to agree with all of this.... although I am biased by the fact that two people folded on the flop anyway

I need to know the stats on the villain. i would have 3 bet post flop just to limit the field but the rest of the plays seem correct. There are most likely two hands that beat you here (jj, aa) but you cant toss kk.

this is a simlar argument again...w/ or JJ on down, go ahead and call the flop to protect on the turn if its favorable.

but w/ KK and AA w/ no diamond i like a flop raise here.

QQ is of course the question as usual and i think given the 2 overcards that can fall you should probably simply call the flop with it and raise the turn.

this doesnt make sense....he should assume he's ahead post flop and therefore raise to limit the field. He doesnt need to "improve" at this point
