I haven't done any 12-tabling myself, but 10% at the 33s certainly seems like you should be able to do better.

Shows how much he knows about multitabling, esp 12 at a time. Dont listen to him. 10% ROI 12 tabling is pretty solid in my book. The only ROI thats really important is a positive one. As long as you are playing your best, thats all thats imortant.

Well, Mr. Know-it-all, I'd say that I probably know a couple of things about multi-tabling. I've done a lot of 6-8 tabling and maintained a much higher ROI. Yes, I allow that 12 tabling will change that. No, I didn't say 10% was bad. I only said that I would think he could push that a little higher and that if he only played a few tables 2-4 at a time that he could probably improve his ROI by dropping back down for a few games where he could analyze his play.

I wasnt the one being presumptuous by stating that a 10% ROI is not good enough and that "[he] should be able to do better."

Which makes you the Mr. Know It All.

You're right in saying that less tables would probably result in a higher ROI. However, unless it raised it sufficiently, it could decrease his hourly rate. So that might be why he is playing 12.

I think hummsux is talking about the OP developing his skills by playing less tables and focusing on improving his play, which will then lead to a higher ROI when he 12tables. While 10% might be decent for 12 tabling, there's no reason he couldn't get a little higher. A few % higher makes a big difference in hourly rate.

Is ROI generally reported with or without including rakeback?

Without. ROI is actually inaccurate unless you factor in rakeback though. Rakeback simply means we pay less rake to the house, which means turnover is slightly less. Since profit remains the same, your true ROI is actually marginally higher. Not important though.

A post above says his profit was 3k and his rakeback was 1k. If we calculate the ROI to include rakeback it should increase about 33%. I'd hardly call that marginally higher.

Well, you've got about $500 each for the 2001fps, depending on what kind of deal you can get. Then you have the stand which is about 250 I think. Plus the computer. So somewhere between $3000-$3250 more than likely, unless you fork out for some serious hardware or some kinda fancy video card.
