Looks to me u have the best hand. I would guess either JJ or QQ... Maybe even a slowplayed KK that got trashed by the flop but to much pride (or just didnt believe u) to let go. Nice betting structure

depends on how tight villain is here....lots of people cold call with AQ here...i'd start to worry after the call on that big turn bet.

this is a good question. I guess some math will determine if its worth simply calling or raising, based on how many times I expect to be winning and how many I expect to be losing.

I personally don't think that you have the best hand here, I think that the other has maybe AQ. QQ in my opinion would of maybe gotten reraised preflop (depending on the player) and he could of possibly been slow playing a pair of Kings. but I'm still giong to stick with the AQ.

does anyone disagree with the raise to $4 PF considering my position or is this going to be a costly mistake?

Not really, you are in late middle position, worth a shot at buying the button here and possibly nabbing the blinds, which i'm happy to do with AJ. I think the way your opponent played the hand though is the way someone with AQ would play it...fearing the AK since you raised, but thinking you might be on a steal as well and committing to calling you down. I'm not sure there was any other way to play this hand other than maybe making your bets smaller or larger. You never really made him make a decision if he has a decently sized ace.

yeah, why not as long as you know that he'll call. You want to make him pay as much as possible to try to suck out on you.
