smiley, you're just way off here. If he wants to max his earn in the tournament it is a trivially easy call. If he wants to try to sneak up just 10k and ruin his shot at first (which btw is worth 105k) then he folds. Maybe you don't think it's an "easy call" but if you wanna win it's a necessary call.

It's not about winning, its about maximizing EV. I don't want to do the math but I think it will show that a fold is better - I could be wrong though. I've played lots of SNG's in my day, and you'd have to fold that on the bubble if you were going to be all in.

It depends on the exact stacks but this is one of those situations where ICM is wrong solely because it won't take the next 17 folds into account.

Which isn't to say I like the call or anything. It depends.

yeah, I suppose there is a fair bit of value in "taking a stand".

To put it simply, I think you're vastly overestimating the value of moving up 4.5k when it severely limits your chances of moving up 85k just because 4.5k seems like a lot of money.

Thanks a lot guys... Not 105k but I'll sleep ok with 56k.

I really didnt feel like any of the remaining players were bad or anything so I took the chop. The KJ call was interesting, but I guess he just wanted to gamble.

Thanks for the sweat,
-Jason
