Default AVOID THIS BOOK

I recently read Internet Hold 'em: winning strategies from an internet pro by matthew Hilger. I tried really hard to read that book but every point he tried to make just had me going well "duh" and i am by no means an advanced player...just a buyer beware

ITH is a great book. It's not a book to teach good players to become great players. It's a book that teaches new players about odds, implied odds, discouting outs, how to play certain flops and draws etc, and does a great job doing so.

If someone has already read a good beginners book about Hold'em I don't think ITH is nescessary but if you haven't I'd say ITH is the best beginner book out there (I haven't read GSIH though, might be better)

If you know every single thing in the book, then you are a good poker player already, easily good enough to beat 3/6 @ Party for instance.

I enjoyed the book as well, especially the hand histories. It was an interesting read.

ITH is a good book it teaches you discounted outs,Implied pot odds,And plenty of examples. It's true its a somewhat a begginers book,But its a good buy.The bankroll mangament section is good to for manganging your online bankroll. But Its to give you a allround feel for holdem. But if you play certain limits like 15/30 read Hold em poker for advanced players, and a game like 3/6 read Small Stakes Holdem as startagies change more. You cannot use certain things in a Holdem book that teaches you all around holdem.
