[/ QUOTE ] The Harrah's and Isle of Capri Riverboats have poker rooms as does the Coushatta (Indian) Casino further down the road in Kinder. The brand new month old L'Auberge du Lac Casino is a high class place but it doesn't have a poker room. I've heard they are going to add one in two or three months. What limits can i expect to find in the cardrooms? We are planning on playing at Harrah's. This will be my first time playing poker in a casino so i am clueless.

Re: Louisiana Casino\'s
If you want the best games with the most action go to the Isle of Capri.
They spread 1/3 No Limit, 3/6/12, 10/20, and on the weekends some 20/40. A Stud game comes and goes with the older crowd. Get a Comp card and ask the floor to rate your play. You will "earn" at least a breakfast comp for showing up. The games at Harrah's have been weak and inconsistant. Everytime I check them out its been a max of two tables. The WSOP satellites will bring in a small group. The two places are only a few minutes apart. If you are new to the area check them both out. Kinder is a few more miles down the road. I've heard some good things about some tournaments they run on the weekends. Maybe worth a call. |

Re: Luisiana Casinos
At Harra's in Lake Charles, the only thing they had was $1/$2 NL and $3-$6-$12 Limit (you could bet either $6 or $12 on the river). I played the 3/6/12 and found the game quite easy.
I'm hoping that the new casino will have some higher limit games... |
